Two dozen flights delayed due to bad weather in Siberia – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

At Kemerovo airport, five companies announced delays in flights to Moscow, Sochi, Novosibirsk and Kazan. Passengers can wait more than five hours at Barnaul airport to fly to the capital and St. Petersburg. Flights from Tomsk to Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Ulan-Ude and Kazan may be delayed twice due to bad weather.

A similar situation is observed at the Krasnoyarsk and Novokuznetsk airports. Flights are delayed by four hours or more, Interfax reports.

The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out inspections.

“The transport prosecutor’s offices of Barnaul, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and Abakan are implementing supervisory measures to protect the rights of consumers of aviation services,” the department reported.
