The accident occurred today in the Nizhneudinsky area, at kilometer 1290 of the R-255 Siberia highway. The driver of a Volvo truck traveling from Krasnoyarsk toward Irkutsk let the trailer skid into oncoming traffic, where the truck collided with a Freightliner tractor and then with a Mercedes heavy truck.
The truck driver, who was injured, was taken to hospital. The Volvo trailer’s load, a box of walnuts, ended up on the road, the regional headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior reported.
