The Israel-Hamas conflict has been going on for about eight months. At the beginning of this war, about 250 Israelis were taken hostage by the Palestinian independence group Hamas on October 7. Citizens of the country rioted against the Israeli government demanding the release of the hostages. In the meantime, the country’s military confirmed that four Israeli hostages were killed on Monday (June 3).
NDTV, citing Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari, said in a report that based on Israeli intelligence, it was confirmed that four of the country’s hostages had been killed. Their bodies are still with Hamas.
The four hostages were killed during an Israeli operation in Khan Yunis, south of the besieged Gaza Strip, on Monday. The dead are British-Israeli Nadav Popelwell (51), Chaim Perry (79), Yoram Metzer (80) and Amiram Cooper (85).

Meanwhile, Hamas said in a statement last month that a hostage named Nadav Popelwell was killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip last April.
Later, the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom informed that such claims of Hamas are being investigated. However, the death of British-Israeli Nadav Popelwell was not confirmed later.
Nadav and the other three were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7 last year from a kibbutz near Gaza.
It should be noted that on the same day, about 1,200 Israelis were killed in the attack by Hamas. In addition, the Israeli authorities confirmed that about 250 civilians were held hostage by Hamas.
The Netanyahu government launched an indiscriminate attack on Gaza from October 7 in response to Hamas attacks. More than 35,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed in Gaza so far in this attack.
Meanwhile, a week-long ceasefire came into effect last November. Hamas released 105 Israeli civilian hostages. But after the cease-fire, the Israeli destruction in Gaza started again.
