Ukraine and Belgium signed a bilateral security agreement on Tuesday. Under this, Belgium is giving 30 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. On Tuesday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander the Crew signed the agreement in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.

In a post on social media, Zelensky said that as a result of the agreement with Belgium, the country will provide 97.7 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine this year. In addition, Belgium has promised to provide more assistance to Ukraine in this 10-year agreement.

Meanwhile, Zelensky went to Madrid, Spain before arriving in Brussels. In a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Monday, Zelensky said, “We need to strengthen our joint work with our partners to achieve more.” He urged to use all means to compel Russia for peace and security.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is pressuring its supporters, especially the United States, to back off in the Russia-Ukraine war. so that Washington-supplied long-range weapons are allowed to be used in targeted strikes inside Russia. Washington and other allies are reluctant to allow Kiev to invade inside Russia.

Zelensky wants to ensure the presence of US President Joe Biden in the peace treaty on June 15-16 in Switzerland. Yesterday in Brussels, he said that it would please Putin if Biden does not attend next month’s conference. Because Biden is needed in that peace conference.
