“The wind gusts reach 27-28 meters per second, more than 65 trees have already been felled. All the city’s emergency and operational services are involved in the work,” wrote the head of the municipality on his Telegram channel. “Housing and communal services workers are quickly removing fallen trees from the road.”

According to him, more than 150 people and 130 teams of federal, regional and municipal road workers participate in these events. The work is controlled by the city’s operational headquarters.

Although the main roads have already been cleared, the mayor of Sochi strongly recommended that local residents and guests of the resort “spend the time of bad weather at home with their families so as not to expose themselves to danger.”

It should be noted that the forecast for storms with showers and snowfall is valid until the end of Monday.
