In Russia the winter transfer market has not yet opened. This will happen on January 25, but the clubs have already closed several transactions. We talk about the main ones.

Tamerlan Musaev

Tamerlan Musaev: Baltika → CSKA (€300 thousand)

A very interesting transfer, given that nothing was known about it until the official announcement. By the way, Musaev already played for CSKA, or rather, in the academy. The boy ended up there in 2014, when he was 13 years old. In 2015, Musaev left CSKA, and then there were Lokomotiv and Torpedo. According to the general director of the army team, Roman Babaev, the red-and-blue scouts followed the player even after he left the academy.

CSKA transfer analysis:

CSKA’s first winter signing is not as unexpected as it might seem

As a result, CSKA activated the purchase option, which was specified in Musaev’s contract with Baltika. Tamerlan, rather, was hired for the future, because his contract with the army is valid until 2028. “We believe that Tamerlan has everything to continue progressing in our team,” Babaev said after the transfer. “The striker has the necessary qualities of a big striker and at the same time looks great in combined football.”

Konstantin Maradishvili

Konstantin Maradishvili: Lokomotiv → Pari NN (on loan)

This season Konstantin has very little game practice. He played eight games in the RPL, but only played 159 minutes in total. Recently, Maradishvili has been sitting more and more often in the reserves than in the field. Going to another club in such a situation is a completely logical decision. A couple of years ago, Loko bought a player from CSKA for 7 million euros and now they rent him. According to Match TV, the Moscow club will take 60% of the player’s salary.

“Kostia Maradishvili was number one on our short list, so we made an offer to our partners at Lokomotiv and they agreed. In this situation everyone won: both the fans, who would enjoy better and more entertaining football, and Konstantin, who wanted to practice the game,” said Paris NN general director David Melik-Huseinov.

Arnor Sigurdsson

Arnor Sigurdsson: CSKA → Blackburn

The Icelander ended up at CSKA back in 2018. Later in his career there was a loan to Venice, a contract suspension with CSKA, a loan to Norrköping, a second contract suspension with CSKA, a loan to Blackburn. This season, Sigurdsson played 17 matches for the English club in all competitions and scored five goals. And now Arnor has signed a full contract with Blackburn, who play in the second strongest division of English football.

Alexei Ionov

Alexey Ionov: Rostov → free agent

The experienced Ionov returned to the Don Club in the summer of 2023. But he only stayed there for half a season. Recently, Alexey stopped being included in the Rostov team: from the 15th to the 18th round of the RPL, Ionov played only 45 minutes. In December, “Championship” was the first to report that Alexey would leave the team. And so it happened: the parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement.

According to Ionov, he parted with Rostov on good terms. The footballer stressed that he is ready to continue his career. The player’s agent also confirmed that the 34-year-old plans to play after resting.

Aslan Dudiev (in blue uniform)

Aslan Dudiev: Baltika → Sokol (free agent)

Another footballer who left Baltika during the winter holidays. The experienced Dudiev (33 years old) was the captain of the Kaliningrad club, but in December the parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement. It didn’t take long for Aslan to find a new club; A week later he signed an agreement with Sokol. The Saratov Club plays in the First League and is currently at the bottom of the table. At the end of November, the management said goodbye to Denis Boyarintsev, who served as head coach.

Matvey Ivankhnov: Fakel → Sokol (on loan)

Ivakhnov, 20, has played very little this season. In the RPL he only had 26 minutes, in the Cup, 171. Now the forward will try his luck in the First League, where he will play for Sokol. The Saratov Club acquired a variety of newcomers, both the veteran Dudiev and the young Ivakhnov. Matvey not only played very little this season, but also suffered a head injury, which is why he missed five games in the RPL.

Daniil Zorin

Bonus: Daniil Zorin: Dynamo Minsk → Spartak (end of loan)

Zorin’s story cannot be attributed to full-fledged transfers or rentals. It’s just that a talented guy showed himself very bright in Belarus and now he has returned to Spartak. He spent the second half of the season at Dynamo Minsk, and what a time he spent it! 11 games, seven goals, two assists. And he was even recognized as the best player on the team after a month. And most importantly, Daniil helped Dynamo win the championship title.

According to Zorin, he has become a better player and has matured in terms of life. According to the championship, the decision on the player’s future will be made after the winter training camp. “If the club management decides that at this time Zorin will not be able to get enough playing time due to the team’s squad level, a loan option will be considered to further progress,” a Championship source said.
