“The meeting of the National Security Council convened by President Aleksandar Vucic amid protests in the Belgrade Assembly has begun,” RIA Novosti reports to the television channel.

Previously, the Serbian president reported that during the riots in front of the Belgrade administration, law enforcement officers were injured. “Two police officers seriously injured and several slightly injured or with unspecified injuries,” Vucic said, explaining that protesters threw stones at police.

He also noted that more than 35 people were arrested.

Recall that the night before, supporters of the pro-Western opposition held a demonstration near the Belgrade administration. Protesters broke down the building’s front door, broke a window, and began throwing rocks and beer cans at the building. The protesters began to set fires. The gendarmerie blocked the entrance to the administration of the Serbian capital from the inside.
