Former deputy Pentagon chief Eldridge Colby said, in particular, that Kishida made a fundamental mistake by following the lead of the Biden administration, which prioritizes Europe.

The former US Department of Defense official also criticized Washington’s policy in Ukraine. According to him, the United States sent kyiv weapons that they cannot quickly replace. Colby believes that the Ukrainian issue has left aside the solution of more important strategic tasks.

Military experts stated: Japan no longer has enough anti-aircraft missile systems to protect its own air bases. They believe that further reduction of air defense capabilities carries significant risks.

The Biden administration is willing to prioritize arming Ukraine at the expense of Asia, which, as Joe Biden previously stated, is the main theater of US military operations.
