Among women, Evgenia Medvedeva, Alexandra Trusova, Kamila Valieva and Anna Shcherbakova compete for the title. It can be difficult to choose the best among such strong candidates, but I had no doubts when it came to voting. I am convinced that in 2023 the true “Queen of Figures” is Eugenia, and I will explain why.

Medvedeva is an example of a figure skater who only became more popular after leaving the sport. Zhenya actively enters the world of show business and participates in many projects. In 2023, she appeared in shows such as “Mask”, “Non-Games”, “Other People’s Letters”, “Confectioner”, “People Against the Stars”, “Tasty with Laysan”, “Stand-Up Quiz” and many others . Someone will say that participating in the show is a simple matter and, perhaps, they are right. But how many skaters are called to participate in so many different projects? No, just Zhenia. And all because she knows how to be interesting to a wide audience. She is wry, sincere, open and, in a word, real. Even though Medvedeva has achieved a lot and been through a lot, she doesn’t pretend to be a star and remains a good person, and that’s attractive. I was able to communicate personally with Zhenya several times and I know what I’m talking about.

This year, Medvedeva reached her new level of development by launching her own program, “BeS Comments.” The skater came up with an original concept: she reads the social media comments to her guests and they comment on them. The topics covered are quite delicate, which makes the program very interesting. I am glad that Zhenya does not focus on figure skating and invites people from different fields of activity: comedians, bloggers, psychologists. Medvedeva’s potential is too vast to remain in the cocoon of figure skating. Although she was still visited by a figure skater: Alexandra Trusova. And in a conversation with Zhenya, she revealed a new side. Medvedeva knew how to approach her colleague so that she could respond to even the most unpleasant comments. Zhenya does not have special education or much experience, but she is a good interviewer. She has charisma, the ability to clearly formulate her thoughts and joke, which is also important.

With her development in the entertainment industry, Medvedeva also popularizes figure skating. People begin to be interested in her destiny, to follow her and her activities and, without knowing it, to get involved in our cozy little world.

Medvedeva also continues to work on figure skating, comments on competitions in Okko. Zhenya is always a pleasure to listen to: she has a beautiful voice and clear speech, she is as correct and professional as possible. Many people watch programs with Zhenya’s participation not even for the competitions themselves, but to listen to the skater’s comments, because she speaks interestingly and directly.

The ice in Zhenya’s life also does not disappear: she participates in numerous shows. On the New Year holidays she performed in the fairy tale “The Wizard of Oz”, then toured with demo numbers with the show of Tutberidze and Averbukh, in the summer in Sochi, Zhenya took part in “Love Letters”, and now he is playing the role of his dreams in the play “Carmen.” And soon the premiere of the show “Cow on Ice” is approaching, in which Medvedeva will play the main role. Once again, Zhenya is full of irony towards herself!

Medvedeva proves to be a versatile personality, developing in completely different areas, and every year she becomes more interesting and interesting. Her audience is constantly growing and she goes far beyond sports. Just think about it, Zhenya hasn’t competed in four years, but her career is only going up! If figure skating has its own Taylor Swift, it is undoubtedly Evgenia Medvedeva, who wisely monetizes her success.
