Children were injured in a traffic accident in Yekaterinburg – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The traffic police of the Sverdlovsk region showed videos from surveillance cameras that recorded an accident at the intersection of Academician Sakharov and Amundsen streets. It is clear from the video that one of the drivers lost control while turning and caused a head-on collision. As a result of the accident, the children who were inside the cars were injured.

An ambulance team is already working at the scene and traffic police officers are finding out all the details of the accident. During the day, the Traffic Inspectorate warned drivers about approaching bad weather, including precipitation, which causes roads to freeze and wheel traction on the road to be minimal.

In total, 319 traffic accidents involving children have been recorded in the region since the beginning of the year, in which 343 children were injured and 8 died.
