“A criminal case has been opened for the public dissemination of false information about the Russian Armed Forces based on political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity,” the agency’s interlocutor clarified.

According to the investigation, Klychuk posted false information on social networks about the actions of the Russian army in Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen and the village of Vorzel, Kiev region, during a special operation.

The investigation commission carried out the necessary examinations and the investigation continued until February 2024, the source said.

The Ukrainian official faces up to ten years in prison.
