In Russia, young scientists have the opportunity to receive social benefits from the state for the purchase of a house or apartment using a special certificate.

“Housing certificates significantly support young scientists and provide them with the opportunity to engage in science at a high-quality level,” said Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Ayrat Gatiyatov. “This increases the attractiveness of scientific activities for young people. From 2021 to 2023, almost 500 young scientists participated in the program “

This year the selection of program participants was carried out according to new rules. If previously only university professors and employees of scientific organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science could apply for a certificate, now the affiliation of a university or institute does not matter.

The Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science will consider the documents received from candidates for housing certificates until February 1, 2024.
