The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported on Monday the arrest of a “Russian informant” for her alleged collaboration to carry out an air strike on the Mikolaiv region taking advantage of the visit of the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski.

According to the SBU, the detainee “tried to establish the time and location of the approximate route” of President Zelenski, who has not ruled on this possible plot. Ukrainian authorities caught the suspect “red-handed” as she was preparing to hand over intelligence information to the Russian side.

The detainee resides in the town of Ochakov, in Mikolaiv, and ran a military equipment store. The penalty she faces for these events is up to twelve years in prison, according to the Ukrainian authorities, who have released some of the evidence collected in the last few hours on Telegram.
