Winners of the National Prize “CHALLENGE” announced – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The award in the “Perspective” category was received by the head of the scientific group “Scalable Ion Quantum Computing” of the Russian Quantum Center, Ilya Semerikov, in the “Engineering Solutions” category, by the deputy director of scientific works of the High Energy Laboratory. Physicist of the Hamlet Khodzhibagiyan Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, in the “Breakthrough” category – Head of the Skoltech Hybrid Photonics Laboratory, Pavlos Lagoudakis. The nomination for “Scientist of the Year” was received by the director of the Institute of Translational Biomedicine of St. Petersburg State University, Raul Gainetdinov. Each of the four winners received 10 million rubles.

When selecting the laureates from 218 reviewed applications, the Scientific Committee of the Prize, headed by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of Skoltech Artem Oganov, took into account both fundamental research and work at the intersection of various sciences.

As noted by the founders of the award, its goal is to recognize innovative ideas and inventions that change the landscape of modern science and the life of every person.
