Vilfand predicted rare warming in Siberian regions – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

This zonal process rarely reaches the continental regions of Siberia, the scientist noted. According to him, this is exactly the current situation: the Atlantic air will reach not only the European part of the country, but also the Urals, Western Siberia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

“This will lead to the fact that in just two days the temperature in the cities of Siberia will approach zero,” TASS quotes Vilfand.

According to the Hydrometeorological Center, on Friday in Omsk the thermometer will rise to +2 degrees, in Tomsk and Novosibirsk to +1 degree. In Krasnoyarsk the temperature will rise to -3. In Irkutsk on Friday it will be 17 degrees below zero and on Sunday -7.

By the end of the week, the increase in temperature will reach the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District: Buryatia and Transbaikalia. In Ulan-Ude on Sunday the temperature will rise to -13 degrees, and in Chita to -17, Vilfand added.
