Recall that the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the border bridge over Niagara Falls: a car traveling from Canada to the United States exploded at a checkpoint. According to media reports, two people died.

The explosion occurred on the American side of the bridge. Three other bridges between western New York and Ontario were closed as a precaution.
