He noted that both buildings were in operation: children from three neighboring towns studied there.

“Of course, at night they were not in the building. Only the security guard was seriously injured, he is in the hospital,” Alekseenko explained.

According to him, the school building was severely damaged as a result of the bombing. The explosion destroyed the windows and doors of the daycare.

The official added that the school’s heating system had recently been repaired and new boilers installed, and that a major renovation of the building was planned for next year.

In mid-December, the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region fired on an ambulance on its way to treat injured civilians.
