The weather conditions allowed the formation of a stable snow cover for the preparation of the ski slopes, so Rosa Khutor is ready to open them for skiing in early December. First of all, it will be possible to test the routes on the northern slope from a height of 2320 m, that is, from Rose Peak and up to 1600 meters above sea level.

In the 2023/24 winter season, the complex will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and the XI Paralympic Games in Sochi. The largest ski area in Russia will once again be offered here: 105 kilometers of slopes, served by 32 modern lifts. For lovers of alpine skiing and snowboarding, 52 ski slopes of all levels of difficulty, two snow parks and training slopes will be available.

At the same time, the resort continues to improve its quality. In the new season, some sections of the ski slopes on the northern slope of the Aibga ridge have been expanded.

For the first time in the post-Olympic period, the station plans to open the Tirol cable car in January, which runs from Rosa Dolina to 780 meters above sea level and connects the Rosa Khutor station with the Alpika-service group of stations. This solution will allow holders of a single ski pass or the Rosa Khutor and Alpika-Service ski passes to ski on the slopes of two resorts at the same time.

In the winter season, tourists will have access not only to a variety of active recreation opportunities on the mountain slopes, but also to exciting activities. For lovers of gastronomic tourism, dozens of restaurants and cafes of different concepts and price segments are open, from coffee shops to haute cuisine establishments.

Year-round attractions such as Rodel Alley, now equipped with bright lighting, tubing, alpine swings and bridges, will continue to operate. The Ice Palace family skating rink will begin operating in December.

Tourists will also be able to ride dog sleds at Husky Farm, but also go down the ski slopes on a sleigh.

For the first time this winter season, the complex will have an Alpaca Park, open at an altitude of 1100 meters. Here a special platform with stunning views of the Caucasus Mountains was created for the inhabitants of the Peruvian Andes. There are currently 21 alpacas in the park. All the animals were born in Peru, arrived in Sochi from several European nurseries, were quarantined and adapted very well. Alpacas are not the only inhabitants of the park, there are also French ram rabbits and rare four-horned sheep.

During the season, the complex will host several large-scale sporting and musical events. The new ski season will traditionally begin with a holiday – Rosa Khutor Day. During the New Year and Christmas holidays, a Christmas market and Santa’s residence will be open.

This is how the general director of the resort, Alexander Belokobylsky, commented on the upcoming events: “The 2023/24 winter season will be special for us, because exactly ten years ago the largest sports festival, the Olympic Games, was held. on the resort’s ski slopes. For the first time in its entire history, all alpine skiing, freestyle and snowboarding competitions were held in a single facility. It was on the ski slopes of the resort that 30 sets of Olympic medals in 15 sports disciplines (alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle) were played – almost a third of the total sets of medals (98), as well as 32 out of 76 sets of Paralympic medals. Of course, the resort will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and the XI Paralympic Games in Sochi. In February and throughout the year, interesting festive events await our guests. I would like to emphasize that the sporting spirit is still strong in us and year after year we celebrate the championship in Russia. in ski infrastructure, customer service and quality of recreation. “I am sure that our guests will receive the best impressions, a charge of liveliness and good mood this winter season.”
