The UN Security Council again postponed the vote on the resolution on the Gaza Strip – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Voting on the resolution, drafted by the United Arab Emirates, has already been delayed several times due to disagreements over the text, on which the United States could vote in favor or at least abstain, allowing the measure to pass.

A diplomatic source told the channel that the key issues of the resolution that remain in the negotiation stage are the language on a “cessation of hostilities” and a call for the UN to establish a monitoring mechanism in the Gaza Strip with the necessary personnel and equipment under the leadership of the secretary general of the world organization.

Meanwhile, Israel will oppose increases in the annual budget of the UN agency (UNRWA) that carries out humanitarian work in Gaza. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen gave this instruction to his delegation.
