The Russian Guard captured a drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces disguised as an eagle

Russian guards in the Donetsk People’s Republic intercepted an unusual reconnaissance drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, disguised as a bird of prey.

“During reconnaissance and search activities, soldiers of the Russian Guard special forces, in cooperation with military counterintelligence, discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle disguised as a bird. It soared into the sky and really looked like an eagle. But the filling was electronic,” a Russian Guard soldier with the call sign “Vestnik” commented on the images.

It appears that the Ukrainian military decided that painted feathers could fool Russian electronic intelligence systems.

The Russian Guard, using special signal suppression equipment, landed the Ukrainian “eagle” in a field.

Under the painted feathers of the “bird” was equipment of unknown type with a built-in video surveillance camera.

“The device was examined by sappers and handed over to the competent authorities for further study,” the press service of the Russian Guard reported.
