Shareholders of companies such as Sabadell, Telefónica or Coca-Cola are preparing for the remuneration of their shares, which will be distributed between the last two months of the year. More than 2.1 billion euros will be distributed, with Cellnex being the first to pay them this Thursday. The telecommunications company will pay a dividend of 0.04 euros per share charged to the share premium reserve, which represents an import of more than 28 million euros. The company already distributed 0.016 euros per share on June 16, so in this year investors will receive a total of 0.056 per share.

Mapfre will be the next company to distribute dividends, on November 30, when it will pay 0.06 euros per share against the 2023 results, where they recorded a net profit of 470.6 million euros, 3.6% less . In December, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners will inaugurate the “rain of dividends”, specifically on the 5th. The group will pay 1.17 euros per share, offering the highest dividend among all the companies that are already known.

That same day, the Catalan Fluidra will also distribute dividends, which will pay 0.35 euros per share, after having already paid that same amount on July 5. Therefore, the company will have fulfilled the dividend of 0.7 euros that it announced at the beginning of summer. Likewise, it will also pay the second part of its annual ArcelorMittal dividend, which it will distribute to its shareholders at 0.22 per share on December 7. Within the framework of this operation, the Dutch bank ABN Amro will make available to shareholders a reinvestment plan that will allow those who wish to increase the number of securities they own in the steel company.

The Merlin Socimi will remunerate 0.20 euros per share, as agreed by its board of directors last week, with this Thursday being the last day on which securities with the right to this interim dividend can be traded against 2023 profits, as reflected the Documentation sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

On Saturday, Telefónica will distribute a dividend of 0.15 euros after having already made a payment of the same amount in mid-June. After this payment, the listed company will have distributed 3.44 euros per share since 2019 after its listing.

Sabadell closes the distribution of dividends, which on December 29 distributes 0.03 euros for each title charged to 2023 results. This amount represents an increase of 50% compared to the payment made last year by the bank.

Inditex, Ferrovial and Naturgy already distributed in November

The month of November began with the distribution of dividends from several multinationals. This is the case of Ferrovial, which paid this Wednesday a flexible dividend of 0.42 euros per share or one new share for every 67 old ones.

On November 7, Naturgy paid 0.5 euros per share on account of the 2023 financial year, while on the 2nd of this same month, the Inditex group made a payment of 0.6 euros per share, the same as last month mayonnaise.

Waiting for more possible dividends

The distribution of dividends could increase in December, waiting for other companies that normally pay dividends throughout this month to confirm or announce whether they will continue this exercise with that trend. This is the case of Enagás, since according to its website, the company has been distributing a dividend in the second half of the last month of the year since 2009. In the last five years, the average payment for these distributions exceeded 0.6 euros gross per share.

The Elecnor group has paid dividends in December for the past eight years, with an average import of more than 0.05 euros per share, according to data from the company’s portal. On the other hand, Prim has also distributed dividends in December before, in this case since 2020, and always with a gross import per share of 0.11 euros.

Likewise, Atresmedia mentioned in the future perspectives of the presentation of its results until September “the foreseeable payment of an interim dividend against the current year in the month of December”, according to the documentation consulted at the CNMV.
