The modernization is aimed at increasing the reliability of operations to record the quantity and determine the quality indicators of oil transported along the main Krasnoyarsk-Irkutsk pipeline for further processing to oil pumping plants.

During the work, only Russian-made equipment was used. Thanks to the corporate strategy of import substitution, since 2014, Transneft has been confidently transferring its production facilities from the use of foreign products to equipment manufactured by Russian manufacturers. Unique developments of the scientific teams of the Transneft system organizations were used in the reconstruction of the SIKN.

The SIKN turbopiston test unit (TPU), designed to configure and test turbine oil flow converters, has been replaced.

“The installed TPU was manufactured in the city of Velikiye Luki at the Transneftemash plant. It is a reference verification facility for monitoring metrological characteristics and checking the flow converters of turbines that are part of the PSP SIKN No. 450,” says Vyacheslav Ivashkin, deputy head of PSP AUNN IRNOU LLC ” Transneft – Vostok”.

In the PSP control room, also as part of the SIKN modernization program, the cabinets of the information processing system (IPS) were replaced, which performs the functions of collecting data and issuing commands to technological equipment in a certain mode and serves for communication with other information systems and automation systems. New technological data transmission network (TDTN) version 2.0 server cabinets have also been installed, which will allow remote monitoring of the information security status of the SOI SICN.

“In real time, the installed SOI and TSPD record and process the signals received from the IMS measuring instruments. Then, information on the quantity and quality indicators of the transported oil is transferred to the general production data storage of the enterprise. The new equipment was manufactured at the Industrial Automation Center of Transneft – JSC Upper Volga “and meets all modern information security requirements. This means that the modernization will provide additional protection during data transmission,” explained Vladimir Korolkov, engineer of the information security sector at Transneft-Vostok.

Previously, as part of the reconstruction program, the installation of a power distribution system, a block of measuring lines, a block for measuring oil quality parameters, which automatically determines temperature and pressure, viscosity and density of raw materials, four Drain tanks were replaced, eliminating the spillage of an aggressive work environment and the release of gases into the atmosphere. Thus, in 2023, Transneft-Vostok LLC will complete the reconstruction of the SIKN 450 at the PSP, completely updating its technological part and automation systems.

The updated SIKN fully meets modern requirements. Software systems used during the operation of the system will increase the accuracy of freight transportation operations and ensure a high level of compliance with industrial and environmental safety of the company’s facilities.

The press release was prepared by the public communications service of the oil transportation company.
