The Ibex 35 started this Friday’s session almost unchanged, with a slight drop of 0.02%, maintaining the level of 10,100 points and the weekly balance also flat. This day is marked by the publication of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Spain during the third quarter.
It has been reported that the Spanish economy had growth of 0.3% between July and September, one tenth less than the previous quarter. This growth was mainly due to consumption, since investment showed negative numbers, according to National Accounting data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which confirms the forecasts advanced at the end of October.
In the European macroeconomic sphere, it is expected to know during this session the quarterly GDP of the United Kingdom, the import price index in Germany, the PPI of France and industrial sales of Italy. In the US, new home sales and consumer confidence from the University of Michigan will be published.
The biggest increases in the Ibex 35 were for Banco Sabadell (+0.58%), Acciona Energía (+0.57%) and Fluidra (+0.53%), while the biggest falls were recorded by Inditex (-0. 61%), Solaria (-0.59%) and Amadeus (-0.40%).
The main European stock markets opened the day with mixed trends: London, Paris and Frankfurt fell 0.14%, 0.04% and 0.03%, respectively, while Milan rose 0.06%.
At the opening of the stock market, the price of a barrel of Brent oil, used as a reference in Europe, exceeded 80 dollars with an increase of 1.07%, while Texas oil rose 1.06%, reaching $74.67.
In the currency market, the euro stood at 1.1006 dollars, and the Spanish risk premium remained around 92 basis points, with an interest rate on the 10-year bond at 2.910%.
