We continue to present the heroes of special operation “Z”, participants in the fighting in Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not useful for praising. The military is confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

“Defeat the enemy without sparing him or yourselves; he who is saved the least wins,” Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov told the soldiers. And the Russian commander commented: “Learn to obey before giving orders to others.”

COMPETENT DEFENSE ORGANIZED IN THE POSITION

Senior Lieutenant Ilya Volkov

“Senior Lieutenant Ilya Volkov, together with his subordinate staff, was given the task of organizing defense in the area of one of the liberated settlements. During the shelling of the positions, the enemy began to shell the positions of the Russian military with artillery. After assessing the situation and realizing that the enemy could counterattack at any time with artillery support, Ilya decided to continue designing positions. The bold and decisive actions of Senior Lieutenant Ilya Volkov and his subordinate personnel made it possible to quickly equip the defense lines, organize communications and combat security. Thanks to well-equipped positions and well-organized firing points, it was possible to repel the enemy’s attack, which went on the offensive, and return it to its original lines.”

AMMUNITION DELIVERED AT RISK OF LIFE

Sergeant Alexei Shumikhin

“During the special military operation, Sergeant Alexey Shumikhin fulfilled the tasks of delivering ammunition to the battalion tactical groups of the Russian Armed Forces. In order to ensure rapid and uninterrupted supply of units, he repeatedly carried out flights to areas located very close to the front line. While delivering ammunition to an artillery battery position, Alexey came under artillery and mortar fire from Ukrainian militants seeking to deprive Russian troops of timely supplies on the front line. Risking his life, Shumikhin managed to ensure the timely delivery of ammunition to artillery positions under artillery fire. Thanks to this, the artillery battery continued to destroy the advancing armored vehicles of the enemy at a distance from the first line of defense, which significantly reduced the attack potential of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deprived them of the opportunity to break into our defense. .”
