The court also ordered the confiscation of Rimshevich’s assets, including real estate he owned. After the hearing, Rimshevich announced that he intended to appeal the verdict.

Recall that in 2018 an unprecedented scandal broke out in Latvia: the director of the Central Bank of the Republic, Ilmar Rimshevich, an experienced financier who held this position for more than 16 years, was arrested.
