From the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, her husband’s father, producer Alexander Rodnyansky, condemned the actions of the Russian authorities. The former head of the STS media holding and owner of the Kinotavr film festival moved to the United States and no longer wants to have anything in common with Russian cinema. In 2019, her son Alexander Rodnyansky Jr. received a position in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. He became President Vladimir Zelensky’s chief economic advisor after his election.
