They turned out to be fifth and ninth grade students from local schools, TASS reports citing the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

As investigators found out, a ninth grade student, having decided to play a prank on his classmates, created a public channel on the Internet where he posted information about the alleged preparation of terrorist attacks in Astrakhan schools. Photographs of weapons and ammunition were attached to the email.

A fifth grader posted similar videos on his video hosting channel. The information posted by the students turned out to be unreliable. According to the police, families raising school-age children are not on the preventive register. This fact is being investigated.
