Solar Astronomy Laboratory: A strong magnetic storm occurred on Earth – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

It is indicated that a G3 level storm began on the planet at 12:00 Moscow time. A weak magnetic storm is expected the next day, researchers say.

Previously, the main specialist of the Phobos meteorological center, Evgeny Tishkovets, warned of an extremely strong magnetic storm in Moscow. He indicated that the storm will last until approximately 3 p.m. and urged residents to be careful.

And astrophysicist Maria Abunina, an employee of the IZMIRAN Space Weather Forecast Center, suggested that a magnetic storm could cause the appearance of an aurora over Moscow. The storm is forecast to reach G3 (severe) and briefly G4 (very strong).
