The host noted that the US military could quickly force the Houthis to stop attacks in the Red Sea, but the White House is not doing so. In response, the senator said that “American firepower” could help solve the problem.

According to him, the US response should have occurred two months ago, after the first launch towards Israel of American ships or commercial vessels sailing through the Red Sea.

However, US authorities have not taken such measures and the incidents continue, Cotton expressed his discontent. He added that “the same story” can be seen in Iraq and Syria.

The senator concluded that sooner or later, Houthi attacks on ships will kill Americans and damage the American economy.

Previously, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter warned that US authorities were preparing to start a war against the Houthis.
