Rodionov, winner of the Russian and European boxing championships, died in an accident near Krasnodar – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

“Three-time winner of the Russian Championship and winner of the European Championship Albert Rodionov crashed in an accident. He was not even 30 years old…” Kiriyenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

The boxer is survived by his wife and seven-year-old daughter.

No details of the circumstances of the incident are provided.

Rodionov’s farewell will take place on Sunday, December 24, in the city of Volzhsky.

The Russian Boxing Federation offered its condolences to the athlete’s family and loved ones, and also promised to cover funeral expenses and help the family.
