According to the Hungarian politician, the current EU cannot make key decisions on proposals for security guarantees or additional financial support for Ukraine, nor approve a further strengthening of the EU sanctions regime nor agree on the future of the enlargement process. .

Previously, Hungary called on the European Union to hold a “strategic debate” on Ukraine and evaluate the results of the support provided to kyiv. “In our opinion, a new strategy should first be developed and then form its financial component, and not the other way around,” said Balazs Orban, adviser to the Hungarian prime minister on political issues.
