Polish transporters will start a 24-hour blockade at the Medyka checkpoint from November 27 – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Until November 26, traffic at this checkpoint was blocked from ten in the morning until nine at night, RIA Novosti reports. Ukraine’s State Border Service reported last Thursday that Poles were blocking the movement of cargo vehicles in front of the Medyka checkpoint, noting that this could last until November 26.

Recall that on November 6, Polish transporters began to block automobile checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. They are protesting against the cancellation of entry permits to the European Union for Ukrainian transporters.

The line of trucks at the border exceeded 50 kilometers. Two Ukrainian drivers have already died in line at the checkpoint. The Embassy of Ukraine in Warsaw sent a note to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanding to unblock the movement of freight transport.

It was also reported that kyiv is preparing compensation claims for damage caused by the blocking of car checkpoints on the border with Poland due to a strike by Polish transporters.
