“You don’t have to be a scientist to understand that this decision (the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession – editor’s note) will bring a lot of damage,” the Hungarian politician emphasized in an interview with the HirTV channel.

“What territory are we talking about? What size population?” – RIA Novosti quotes Orban. He stressed that it is necessary to clarify the current size of the country and the number of its inhabitants.

The Prime Minister added that Ukrainians considered the decision to start negotiations as a decisive step, but they would be very disappointed if all these issues arose later, since in this case Ukraine’s accession process to the EU would slow down.

Earlier, Orban said Ukraine’s accession to the European Union would cost the bloc’s economy between €150 billion and €190 billion, potentially crushing it. In particular, according to the politician, upon entering the EU, Ukraine alone will begin to demand all the aid that all Central European countries currently receive.
