NYT: Russia has taken the initiative on most of the battlefield in Ukraine – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Journalists recalled the active actions of the Russian army near Avdiivka, as well as in other parts of eastern Ukraine. In particular, Kupyansk, Bakhmut and Maryinka are mentioned.

“The recent offensives are further evidence that Russia has firmly taken the initiative on much of the battlefield,” says an article on the topic.

The authors of the publication noted that in recent weeks the Russian Armed Forces managed to take control of new territories.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Yegor Chernev said the situation on the battlefield is complex and gradually worsening.
