Last year, Alla Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin* left Russia. The star couple settled first in Israel and, after the outbreak of the military conflict in this country, in Cyprus. The Internet does not stop discussing what reasons forced the artist to leave her homeland, where she had millions of fans, and move abroad to live the life of an ordinary retiree.

Guitarist Alexander Levshin, who worked with Pugacheva for 30 years, is sure that she followed the example of her young husband. The musician, who has appeared on stage with Alla since the 80s, believes that Maxim Galkin is to blame for what happened. Levshin is sure that Pugacheva was hostage to the situation and had to make a difficult decision between her homeland and her husband. As a result, her family, along with her two children, left for Israel due to “her husband’s perception.”

According to Levshin, Alla had long ago opened accounts in foreign banks.

“Apparently, Alla chose family. And they have bank accounts abroad,” Levshin said in an interview with aif.ru.

The musician especially noted that the star couple was driven by commercial interests. They decided to emigrate because they already had properties abroad and accounts abroad.

Apparently, Maxim Galkin had been thinking about leaving for a long time and had prepared everything for it. In 2017, the couple bought a property in the capital of Cyprus, Limassol, and received citizenship of this country in exchange for an investment. A Cypriot passport gives you the opportunity to travel freely to more than 167 countries and stay in any EU state.

Pugacheva and Galkin bought apartments in the most expensive high-rise building in Limassol – Tower One. The luxury residential complex is located on the beachfront, all apartments have terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. In the courtyard of the house there is a large swimming pool, and in the building itself there is an underground parking lot, a gym, a sauna with a jacuzzi, a hammam, a restaurant, shops and boutiques. The hallways of the building are decorated with expensive marble, and at the entrance there is designer furniture. The high-rise building is surrounded by a new modern district. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops in the surrounding area.

Pugacheva has been photographed more than once on the streets and cafes of Limassol. She often walks around town with her children Lisa and Harry. Apparently, the twins are not studying now because their school in Israel was closed after the outbreak of hostilities. Instead of receiving an education, children are left in Cyprus with nothing to do.
