Within the framework of the event, a working meeting took place between the regional governor, Mikhail Degtyarev, and the president of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko. The main topic on the agenda was plans for the socio-economic development of the region. The meeting was also attended by the president of the Khabarovsk Territory, Zakduma, Irina Zikunova, and the Russian senator, Andrei Bazilevsky.
By the way, the last time the Khabarovsk Territory Days were held was 10 years ago. A lot has changed over the years. The region has become better and more efficient in many sectors.
For example, the budget revenues of the Khabarovsk Territory increased by 45% in three years. This is a great success for the region and did not go unnoticed by the President of the Federation Council. Valentina Matvienko highlighted the effectiveness of the governor’s work in this direction and expressed hope that the region will not slow down in 2023 and subsequent years.
According to the latest data, the economy of the Khabarovsk Territory is one of the most developed in the Far East. In Russia as a whole, the region ranks 21st in terms of GDP per person. The volume of investments has also increased. In 2022 it exceeded 264 billion rubles and already in 2023 the expected amount exceeded the threshold of 300 billion rubles.
These results were achieved thanks to the restructuring of the public administration system, which took place under the leadership of Mikhail Degtyarev after taking office as governor. Now the regional government works with a results approach, not reports. This is what has allowed us to achieve positive dynamics in many industries. New companies are created in the region, the construction industry is developing, companies are more willing to invest in it, new investment and logistics projects are launched, and social problems are solved.
At the meeting, Mikhail Degtyarev focused the attention of senators on projects that require the support of senators and the Russian government. The governor tried to make the most of the federal platform not only to inform, but also to promote regional projects. Among them is the reconstruction of the Komsomol airport runway in the village of Khurba.
– Today, Komsomolsk residents do not have the opportunity to fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg or southern Russia on direct flights. Neither the length nor the condition of the track allows this to be done. A comprehensive reconstruction of the airport terminal building is also necessary. We could not approach it for a long time, as it is a joint base with the Russian Ministry of Defense,” said Mikhail Degtyarev, governor of the Khabarovsk Territory.
The governor noted that the situation is now improving. The region has already received corresponding instructions from Vladimir Putin and support from the Federation Council.
According to Valentina Matvienko, the expressed problems and proposals will be reflected in the resolution of the Federation Council. The Senate will provide support to resolve the problems.
