“War fatigue is a phenomenon of societies living in peace. If Ukraine succumbed to conflict fatigue, it would cease to exist,” Landsbergis is quoted as saying on the country’s Foreign Ministry website.

The Lithuanian minister called on allies to fight against this phenomenon, since only the West has “sufficient structural power” to help Ukraine “achieve victory.”

Earlier, Center for the European Council on Foreign Relations military analyst Gustav Gressel said Russian President Vladimir Putin made the right bet in the face of the West’s growing fatigue with exorbitant spending in Ukraine.
