In the Urals, a woman was fined 100 thousand rubles for a spatula sticking out of a bag – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

According to the press service of the regional court, two women collided at the entrance to the subway in Uralmash. A woman from Yekaterinburg had just bought that same spatula and she didn’t realize that the tool had gone through the bag. At that time, another woman from the village was passing by and cut her leg with a sharp edge. An ambulance was called and the victim received stitches at the hospital.

This case was the reason why the woman appealed to the Ordzhonikidze District Court. She wanted to receive material damages for the damaged pants, almost 4 thousand rubles, 200 thousand as compensation for moral damage and 20 thousand as payment for the costs of a representative in court. Basically, the judges satisfied her demands, only adjusted the amount: the moral damage was calculated only at 70 thousand rubles. In total, the victim received almost 100 thousand rubles.
