At the same time, they not only built a new section, but also expanded the roadway on Okskaya Street: between Volgogradsky and Ryazansky avenues it became a full-fledged four-lane highway. At the same time, the adjacent streets Zhigulevskaya, Fedora Poletaeva and Projecty Proezd No. 770 were also rebuilt.

With the new link, residents of the southeast of the capital will have a cross transport connection in the area between Volgogradsky and Ryazansky avenues. In addition to the nearby historical districts, transport accessibility will be significantly improved on Zhigulevskaya Street, where residents of four houses that are being relocated to the Kuzminki district due to their renovation are now moving.

“This road is also necessary for the population of the new neighborhoods that are being built on the site of old industrial zones,” said the mayor. There, on the territory of the Grayvoronovo industrial zone, it is planned to build 240 thousand square meters of housing, as well as more than 200 thousand square meters of public industrial and commercial facilities, including a school, a kindergarten, offices and a logistics center. , as well as commercial and service companies. According to experts, due to the redistribution of traffic flows, the load on the existing road network will be reduced: up to 25 percent on Zelenodolskaya Street, up to 9 percent on Academician Skryabin Street and the second Grayvoronovsky Passage . The entire highway project is planned to be completed in 2024 with the construction of a section of the second Vyazovsky Proezd to connect with Okskaya and Zhigulevskaya streets, as well as with the Proezd project No. 770.
