The Oktyabrsky District Court convicted a particularly dangerous repeat offender who stole a large sum of money from an acquaintance. On September 6, at the invitation of the future victim of the crime, the accused, originally from the Amur region, flew from Moscow to Blagoveshchensk. Then they went to the village of Ekaterinoslavka, Oktyabrsky district, where they rented two rooms in a local hotel.

The next day the men went shopping. In the first of them, a veteran of the Northern Military District gave a bag of money (1.76 million rubles) to a friend for safekeeping. He decided to kidnap them. In the store next door, the attacker silently transferred the money to his wallet. He then announced that he needed to go to the bathroom and disappeared. He did not have time to spend the money and was detained by the police.

“At the hearing, the defendant pleaded guilty to having committed a crime. At the same time, he said that he was incited to steal a large amount of money, which the victim showed to everyone,” reports the United Press Service of the Courts of Amur.

The court took into account mitigating circumstances: active assistance in the investigation, as well as admission of guilt and remorse. At the same time, the man had previously been convicted of committing serious crimes. Therefore, he is recognized as a particularly dangerous repeat offender. The defendant was found guilty under paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale robbery) and sentenced to four years in a special regime colony with restriction of freedom for a period anus. and a half.
