“At 12:00 local time, fire opened in the Aitrun area, none of the peacekeepers were injured, but their car was damaged,” the TASS official reported.
The peacekeepers’ representative stressed that the incident occurred during a period of relative calm after the truce was declared.
“This attack comes at a time when the Blue Helmets are making every effort to reduce tensions and restore stability in southern Lebanon,” Tenenti said.
