According to Hamas, the resolution “does not respond to the demands of the catastrophic situation” that Israel has created in the Gaza Strip. The document ignores an international decision that calls for “the end of the genocidal war” that the Israeli army is waging against the Palestinian population of the enclave.
Hamas also blamed the US administration, which “worked diligently to strip the resolution of its essence and allow it to complete its mission of destruction, murder and terrorism in the enclave.”
Previously, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution demanding that Israel and Hamas support the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and also calling on the UN Secretary-General to appoint a coordinator for this issue.
