Taking advantage of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 event, Great Wall Motor (GWM) introduced three vehicle models, namely the Haval, Tank and also Ora which will go on sale in the first quarter of 2024.

“Today we are pleased to introduce our three main product series Hacal, Tank and Ora to the Indonesian market. This product range has been recognized globally for quality, performance and innovation, and we are sure that Indonesian consumers will also be impressed by the vehicles we offer,” said President of Great Wall Motor ASEAN Clyde Cheng at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday.

Up to now, the Chinese automotive company has established a global sales network. Their products have also been exported to more than 170 countries and regions, with more than 700 sales points worldwide.

Responding to the SUV trend in various parts of the world, GWM brings Haval by offering a range of dynamic and versatile vehicle models for Indonesian consumers who have an adventurous spirit. It is believed that the on-road comfort and off-road capabilities offered by the SUV from GWM will result in a smooth driving experience, whether driving through busy cities or exploring the beautiful landscapes of Indonesia.

As for off-road vehicles, GWM brings Tanks to bulldoze various road conditions in Indonesia. The vehicle is indeed designed to face the toughest challenges, the Tank offers superior performance, advanced safety features without compromise and unmatched durability.

The last vehicle they present to their potential customers is Ora, for consumers who like electric vehicles. The car not only features smart technology for an all-in-one comfortable and safe driving experience, but also a futuristic retro design that will enrich the smart lifestyle of its users.

Ora leverages the latest in EV technology, long range capabilities and attractive designs that are driving the future of sustainable mobility and making the world a better place with 100 percent clean energy.

GWM operations in Indonesia will be controlled by Inchcape plc (Inchcape) together with its joint venture partner, namely PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (Indomobil), which already has a strong distribution partnership with Inchcape in Indonesia.

In the joint venture, Inchcape currently holds around 70 percent of the shares and Indomobil holds 30 percent of the shares.

“We are pleased to be able to bring the new GWM energy vehicle to Indonesia, an important step to be able to achieve our long-term ambition – accelerating the progress of new energy in Indonesia,” said President Director of PT Inchcape Automotive Indonesia Khoo Shao Tze.

Khoo believes the three GWM cars are liked by Indonesian consumers, especially for hybrid and electric vehicles, because they have international quality standards and they have a strong distribution network.
