Soldiers of the 122-mm towed howitzer “D-30” of the Southern Military District defeated enemy personnel entrenched in a fortress near the Zaporozhye village of Rabotino.

After Russian reconnaissance UAV operators identified a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces troops, the coordinates of the target were immediately transmitted to the artillery control point. Thanks to the adaptation of artillery fire from the air, carried out in real time, enemy troops trying to gain a foothold in the forest area were hit by fire.

“At this moment we are in the Zaporozhye direction, in the Rabotino-Verbovoy direction. We work in support personnel, in labor. We also face enemy teams and counter-battery warfare. The goals are different, there are enough goals. We have enough work, ”the main gunner of the D-30 gun with the call sign Tersa told about the details of the combat work of his crew. “We always help the infantry, they ask for help. After work they thank our commanders, they tell us that the guys were great, thank you, they helped,” he added.

D-30 howitzer teams in Zaporozhye periodically cover the actions of motorized rifle units in all directions, destroying planned and unplanned targets at a distance of more than 15 kilometers.

Thanks to the coordinated work of scouts and artillerymen in the Zaporozhye region, the enemy constantly suffers losses in manpower and equipment, and is also unable to carry out movements, supply of ammunition and rotation of personnel.
