However, personnel from the American aircraft carrier USS Mason began pursuing them. An American gunship helicopter and a Japanese destroyer also participated in intercepting the attackers.

“The subjects have been detained and are currently being interrogated by US military personnel responsible for combating piracy,” the channel said.

According to a representative of the shipowner, the sailors, ship and cargo were not injured as a result of the attack.

Recall that last Sunday it became known that the Central Park oil tanker, which was transporting phosphoric acid, was captured off the coast of Yemen. According to media reports, the ship is operated by the British company Zodiac Maritime, owned by Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer.
