Fireworks may be prohibited in the Latvian Ogre for the New Year at midnight Moscow time – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The authors of the initiative explained that those who set off fireworks at midnight Moscow time have opinions that do not coincide with “the values ​​of the majority of Latvian society.” Therefore, the launch time must be limited.

The Latvian Ogre Municipality will consider the initiative group’s proposal. The explanatory note to the document states that the time for launching New Year’s fireworks should be limited: leave only one hour, from 0:00 to 1:00 on January 1, Latvian online publication Delfi reports with reference to the draft of the corresponding document.

Those who violate the rules for the circulation of pyrotechnic products will be fined.
