Exhibition of sculptor Dasha Namdakov opened in Ulan-Ude – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

As noted by the Minister of Culture of Buryatia, Soelma Dagaeva, Dashi Namdakov is one of the brightest representatives of contemporary art.

“The sculptor’s work reflects the process of interaction between the academic school and the stylistic, decorative, symbolic and realistic tendencies of the author; it is a method of syncretism in an effort to transmit the experience of interaction between the best schools in the world”, says Soelma Dagaeva. .

Dashi Namdakov was born in 1967 in Transbaikalia. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia and academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.

In the exhibition you can see works dating back to 2000. Many of them are preserved in private galleries and museum collections in different countries. The monuments created by Dashi Namdakov were installed in Kazakhstan, Transbaikalia, the Kemerovo region, Tatarstan, Tyva, Krasnoyarsk and on the island of Olkhon in Lake Baikal. In addition, the creator participated as an artist in the film “Mongol” by Sergei Bodrov Sr.
