Videl, Gohan’s wife and the main protagonist of Dragon Ball, stands out as a special character for her distinctive evolution throughout the series and her ability to challenge the typical conventions of female roles in storytelling. Initially introduced as a brave and courageous fighter, her connection with Gohan reveals deeper layers of her personality. For these reasons, we loved the following cosplay, and this interpretation finally lets us know what the heroine would look like if she became a flesh-and-blood waifu.

When we see Yukina Cosplay’s work, we can only praise the magnificent interpretation she offers us of Videl, one of Akira Toriyama’s most beloved characters, and this is in addition to the cosplayer’s huge resemblance to Mr. Toriyama’s daughter. Satan, the truth is that the aspect that interests us most in this work is the characterization, which seems quite accurate to the character’s clothing.

In the next image from Yukina’s set, we can see this beautiful version of Videl again, although this time he gives us a completely different profile: posing with long hair like she had when she was introduced in the series. Looking at it from this point of view, we have to admit that we will always choose the long-haired Videl, even though the short-haired Videl does not look bad at all.

The truth is that Videl’s contributions to history extend beyond her exploits on the battlefield, demonstrating that strength is not incompatible with compassion and understanding. Videl’s evolution throughout the Dragon Ball series makes her a truly special character, challenging stereotypes and emphasizing the importance of diversity and complexity in character building.
