CBS reports that strong winds toppled a Christmas tree erected in Washington.

The owner of the White House should turn on the Christmas tree lights on Thursday.

“So far the spruce has not been lifted,” the report says.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service isn’t sure it can save the tree. But the ceremony scheduled for November 30 has not yet been canceled.

Let us remind you that a 12-meter common spruce was brought to Washington from West Virginia at the beginning of the month.
