Well, the visit to VDNKh ended with the presentation of the main award “Volunteer of the Year”.
“I just found out, it was unexpected for me: 39 thousand applications from 95 countries: this is a huge army of volunteers, which calls our country a country of volunteers,” the president noted.
He added that a quarter of the country’s population participates in some type of volunteer project.
– Today you work in almost all spheres of life in our society: health, ecology, education, whatever. But, of course, now I turn first of all to the Russian public, I especially want to thank you for what you are doing to help our fighters who are on the front line of the fight for our country,” said the Russian leader.
The president presented the Volunteer of the Year award to Natalya Amineva from Voronezh. She created the children’s environmental detachment “Younnats of Rostok” and, together with her children, her husband and her parents, helps special operations fighters.
In the end, the head of the country admitted that the award for the best volunteer is more of a symbol. It’s hard to be the best of the best.
– As long as we are together, we are invincible! – the president emphasized.
